Cultivating kindness and compassion towards ourselves and others.

Today we are celebrating Random Acts of Kindness Day. I don’t know about you, but I think that the last few months of life during the pandemic have shown that most people have a lot of kindness and compassion for others. However, particularly for those who have a lot of compassion for others, it is easy to forget that it is just as important to cultivate kindness and compassion towards themselves. Some would argue that true compassion starts with yourself. Even a small act of kindness and self-compassion, such as spending time in nature, meditating, or speaking less harshly towards yourself can have such a positive impact on our health and wellbeing.
Perhaps today is a good day for us all to consider what we can do every day to cultivate compassion towards ourselves and others?
