Transformational Coaching Based on the Neuroscience and Psychology of Behavioural Change

Helping people navigate & execute change whilst maintaining resilience and nurturing wellbeing at personal and organisational levels.

Hello and Welcome to A Fresh View Consulting.

If you are looking for a coach, and if you have not had coaching before, you might have the following questions:

What is professional 1-2-1 coaching?

Professional coaching is a few things:

  • A relationship based on trust, confidentiality and non-judgement

  • A psychologically safe environment for the client to stop, reflect and openly talk about their thoughts, emotions. ideas, concerns and challenges

  • A facilitated conversation that helps the client think at a deeper level, gain insight into and find solutions for their challenges and gain clarity about their next steps

  • A process of facilitating self-directed learning that helps the client develop a range of skills for improving resilience, productivity and performance, such as self-awareness, self-management, time management, self-compassion, prioritisation, planning and assertiveness.

The neuroscience and psychology of behavioural change-based coaching covers the above-mentioned points, and in addition to these, it is concerned with facilitating deep transformative learning and sustainable behaviour change.

The aims of this type of coaching are:

  • to help the client achieve a high level of awareness of self and others through developing a greater understanding of their thoughts, emotions, values and beliefs - the often unconscious drivers behind human behaviour

  • to help the client understand group dynamics - the psychological processes that drive human behaviour in the context of a relationship and a wider group so that they can effectively self manage and help others to self manage in a social context and manage whole teams and groups

  • to help the client identify and challenge the unconscious assumptions and beliefs that they hold about themselves, others and the wider society that often cause them unconscious stress, internal conflict and hold them back from achieving their optimum potential, wellbeing and performance

  • to help them develop meaningful goals, new ways of being, thinking and doing things that are aligned with their strengths and values and find intrinsic motivation to achieve their goals and a positive change in their personal and professional life

  • to help them navigate and execute change, whilst maintaining resilience and nurturing wellbeing at personal and organisational levels

  • to help people develop the skills, attitudes and habits that they need to achieve optimum wellbeing and performance

Why do people come to coaching?

People come to coaching for different reasons. Most of my clients typically come to coaching either as part of their personal and professional development, or because they are going through a period of change (personally, professionally or both), which comes with a heavy load of uncertainty and is often stressful, or because they want to change something in their personal or professional life and need clarity, guidance or direction, or because they are supporting others in times of transition and change.

Is coaching the right approach for you and am I the right coach for you?

Every coach is different, comes from a different background, has different qualifications, values,  coaching philosophy and uses different approaches.

My coaching philosophy is informed and shaped by my values of diversity, integrity and collaboration.

Having coached clients from diverse backgrounds and in different contexts, and based on my management and learning and development experience and academic background in behavioural science, I know that every client is different, has different learning styles and preferences, consists of body and mind which are inextricably linked and all areas of our lives are interconnected and impact our wellbeing, and we all are motivated by different things.

As we are all unique, I don't believe in one size fits all approach, and instead take a holistic view of the client. With each client, I seek to understand what the client needs and wants, how they learn best and what motivates them and I use insights from neuroscience, adult learning theory and a range of psychologically informed coaching approaches to help them achieve their goals. The core of my approach is Person-Centred. I also use Cognitive Behavioural Coaching, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused-Coaching and psychodynamic philosophy to inform my approach.

Is transformational coaching the right approach for you and am I the right coach for you?

This depends on a number of factors. To find out, book a complimentary 30 mins exploratory session. I would love to hear from you.

Our Testimonials

What Our Customers Are Saying?

I would like to thank Anna for a highly transformational coaching experience. I am very right brained in my coaching sessions so loved and respected how Anna was always able to bring me back to the centre and encourage me to find my own resolution. I have worked with Anna for over a year and across two different points in my career. I respect Anna's approach and knowledge, especially in matters of neuroscience (a shared passion between us). I highly recommend Anna and look forward to working with her again in the future.
