What We Do

at A Fresh View Consulting

We help organisations maintain and gain competitive advantage by helping their managers and teams develop skills, attitudes and behaviours that support wellbeing whilst driving engagement and sustainable performance.

For many organisations, particularly since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, having good wellbeing support has become a competitive advantage – an approach to driving engagement and performance and a way of retaining and attracting talent.

According to a recent survey by LifeWorks, 80% of employees said that they would consider leaving their organisation for the same pay but for better wellbeing support.

And extensive research into wellbeing at work by Gallup found that…

"In organisations where employees perceived health to be well managed, organisational performance was more than 2.5 greater"

Putting wellbeing at the heart of organisational agenda tells your employees, 'Your health & wellbeing matters - YOU matter to us' which in itself drives engagement.

The most valuable asset of every organisation is its people. If your people are well, they are focused, confident, motivated, they perform well and the business thrives.

What are 'mental health' and 'wellbeing'?

Often, people associate mental health with the absence of mental illness.

When you hear the term mental health what do you think of?

Mental health is more than just the absence of mental illness. It’s a state of wellbeing in which an individual realises their own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and is able to make positive contributions to their team, organisation and wider community (World Health Organisation, 2021).

Mental health is not something that we either have or do not have, it’s a continuum. Just like with physical health, at times, we are in top form – we are thriving, whereas other times, due to different factors (in and outside work), sometimes we are merely surviving, struggling or are in crisis.

Mental health is an important aspect of our overall health and wellbeing alongside:

  • Physical wellbeing is about having good physical health, the energy to do things and making healthy lifestyle choices and behaviours around our sleep, exercise, diet.

  • Financial wellbeing- how people feel about the control they have over their financial future and their relationship with money.

  • Career wellbeing - how people occupy their time/do they like what they do every day.

  • Social wellbeing- having meaningful relationships with others and a sense of connectedness and belonging to the groups/communities you are part of.

  • Environmental - how we are being impacted by our natural environment and taking responsibility for our actions and choices that impact our natural environment.

What do we do to help organisations become an employer of choice and drive engagement and optimise business performance?

For maximum results and sustainable behavioural change, we work at the three levels of the organisation; Individuals, Team Leaders and Managers and Executives.

We focus predominantly on upskilling and supporting team leaders and managers because:

  • They are the most important factor at work in their team's mental health, wellbeing, development, engagement and performance

  • They are in the best position to know when people are thriving or struggling because they are the closest to the day to day lives of your employees

  • They are the link between employees and the organisation

  • They are usually the ones whose jobs are the most demanding, stressed and need wellbeing support the most.

 â€‹

We provide individual and group (face to face and online) coaching support and semi-bespoke and bespoke programmes for teams leaders and managers that help them:

  • acquire the essential knowledge of stress, mental health, wellbeing and behaviour science,

  • develop skills and competencies for minimising stress in the workplace, supporting people during times of transition and change, having effective coaching conversations around mental health, wellbeing and personal development,
